“We highly enjoyed our stay at Jennifer’s house in the Black Hills. Check in was very easy, even at night we found the place without any trouble. It is far from any town, which was fine with us…we were happy to get away from things and see the stars at night. My kids enjoyed riding the bikes down the driveway to see some horses, and they loved sleeping in the loft. The place is very well-stocked with anything you could possibly need. The welcome basket was much appreciated :) For anyone looking……

“A quiet, relaxing cabin with a thoughtful and responsive host. It was a nice and comfortable spot to stay while exploring the close-by natural beauty of South Dakota and Wyoming.”

“On our one evening here, we went out onto the porch of our cabin after dark to have a beer and look at the stars. While we were goggling at the Milky Way, horses out in the field were chuffling and whinnying in the dark, and it was kinda magical. I've never stayed anywhere that offered that kind of experience. The landscape around the ranch is beautiful, the cabins are clean and cute, the saloon is fun place to stop in for a drink and game of pool, and the bacon at breakfast was incredible.……

“If you like rustic and simple, the peacefulness of the country and being "off the grid" you are gonna Love this place! Enjoy the thrill as you drive down the miles of winding gravel roads wondering if the next bend is your destination. And finally you are there... feel the peace as you slowly roll down the drive... no traffic, no noise, no hassle. “We were only here a day, but my kids and I had a great time! The property is beautiful and the service is spectacular! Loved the saloon and enjoyed home cooked breakfast and dinner! My daughter is terrified of horses but they eased her into meeting them and got her comfortable enough to try a trail ride. Kids asked to come back next year which is the ultimate stamp of approval!”

“Highlight of our cross-country trip. We ate dinner in the ranch house and my 3 teenage kids were in heaven. The saloon was so much fun with live music, singing, and playing pool. The ranch hand gave us a tour of the horse barn. Wish we had time for a trail ride but were just passing through. We also saw mule deer and wild turkeys as we walked around the area. The staff were all so friendly, we felt like we really belonged. We will be back for the full experience one day soon. Bunk house was……

“I booked a visit to Kara Creek Ranch in an effort to escape the Denver area fireworks with my pup (he's super fearful). Cassie promptly responded to all of my questions before arriving and provided all of the info that I needed to check-in. The property is very remote and quite beautiful - vast open space as far as the eye can see! Everyone on site was incredible - from staff to other guests.
