“Our hostess, Sophie has been excellent with local places of interest including some local restaurants. Our “villa” was very comfortable and fresh with a queen sized bed. Our stay was made very enjoyable, even the local patisserie/boulangerie were welcoming. We even bought some of Sophie’s porcelain ”

The staff were beyond helpful and friendly, the prices were very reasonable, breakfast was a wonderful spread and the location cannot be beat. And that's not even mentioning the absolutely beautiful room with a large bath that was very welcome after the trek out to Poperinge!”

“If you're interested in history, you should stay here. This was used by British soldiers during WWI. A piece of history that you can connect with. A rare experience and well worth supporting. The house is great and filled with history and there is a museum which offers free admission to guests at the hotel. We did share a bathroom, but it was always available and very well kept. I will definitely stay here again. ”

“We did not feel there was any welcome and very disappointed that the restaurant was closed which we were not aware of. Also explanation about security access to car park in the evening was not clear, only security to rooms in the evening. Bar was closed earlier than we expected and bed somewhat hard with a hard pillow. During breakfast we felt we were being watched like a hawk. Won’t go there again. ”
