“We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower). “This place was great! Dog friendly, private access to the north end of La misión beach directly in front of the house. The complex is technically in the second row in front of the beach, but there’s nothing in front except the little path through the ice plant-covered dune, so it’s slightly set back from the beach and feels very private. The large balcony is like its own patio with an amazing unobstructed view of the ocean right out front. The linens, towels, bathroom, and full kitchen were also……

“It was a bit of a distance from where we wanted to be, near the race start. Interesting location, the studio we rented was in a gated area/backyard of I'm assuming the owners home. Looked like there were a few rental options on the property. Clean and cozy studio and felt safe. Would recommend!”
