“Chris and Kensie are outstanding hosts. The details in their home were above and beyond what we were expecting for our quick work weekend in Detroit Lakes. The bath salts were my personal favorite after a long day. We were able to bring our pup and after forgetting to bring his dishes, we found a water and food bowl just for our good boy! Great location! Hope to come back for a more fun getaway next time!”

“We went here for a girls weekend in the winter and it was exactly what we needed. Perfect space for us. We found some cute shops nearby in Perham, but enjoyed most of our time at the cabin. Kitchen was well stocked and the shared living space by the fireplace was perfect for us. Very clean. We had a pretty big snowfall while there and they were very prompt in plowing and shoveling for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will come back again!”

Our biggest issue is that we were mislead by the ad. When it said "cottage available to rent for extra sleeping space" we did not realize it meant it was a totally separate property that would be rented if we didn't rent it. “My husband and I, my 3 adult siblings and their spouses, and our parents all gathered here for Thanksgiving week. The location was right on Ottertail Lake, with beautiful sunsets that I'm sure are even more lovely when it's not frozen. The home was well-appointed with wood-burning and gas fireplaces, comfortable couches and beds (some very low to the ground), and stylish furnishings.
