“Staff is great, cleaned my room when I asked, Great Mexican restaurant next door. Walmart down the street. Breakfast was good. Always had coffee available. Hot water for my daughters cocoa was always ready.”

“The housekeeper and front desk girl were super friendly and nice. Lobby very inviting with a beautiful stair case. It's only 2 floors, and had to carry up the luggage. Not sure if they had an elevator, but our room was at the top of stairs so just took stairs.”

“This property was very clean and even though it was full (from the looks of the parking lot) it was very quiet. The beds were comfortable enough (didn't love the over stuffed pillows). Shower was nice and hot which is always a plus. The hot breakfast was great, even the selection of grab and go items was plentiful. We will definitely rebook here in the future. We've stayed at the other hotel across the street on the past and this was a far better experience! Thanks again to Makx for a seamless……

“Great experience. We booked 2 other hotels, one ended up being in a different city ( even though we searched Detroit Lakes ? It was 26 miles away!). The. The second, was disgusting, and apparently also a halfway house, and over booked our room! American inn came through. Great service, clean, safe, and great service. ”

“The minute we drove on to the property, we could see that the exterior was well-maintained. This is a good indicator that the interior will be well-maintained as well. And it was. Everything is clean. We don't feel like the management or staff is cutting corners, as is true in many hotels. The room was very pleasant and comfortable. “We booked this hotel for about $50 less than other hotels with similar review scores in the area. It’s a renovated super8 style hotel- very basic but our room was clean (even the corners of the bathroom), beds were comfortable and owner/operator at the front desk was friendly. The hotel hallways had a damp but not mildewy-smell, but the room was fine. Breakfast area had cereal and waffle machine. Would stay again for an overnight stop on a road trip. ”
