Valerie is a fantastic host—so kind and always quick to respond whenever we had a question. She really made everything easy and stress-free. “We were hoping to spend longer than 4 hours here. After traveling from Albuquerque, we were ready to enjoy the quietness and cool air. Unfortunately, my husband’s oxygen levels were really low. After a visit to the EMS 2 miles away, we were convinced by the deputy head EM Technician we should leave immediately and go to Montrose, CO 2400 ft lower in elevation. I wish we could have spent the night here. ”

“Clean and simple place for a family to stay. We stayed here during a road trip with our three very young children. The home is mostly child proof. There were a few breakable items that we had to keep an eye on to make sure our toddlers didn't get into (cups and bowls for example). It was a perfect pit stop for us and was easy to check in. Could not have been much better.”

“Our family of six stayed in one of the tiny houses and while it was a bit of a squeeze, it was surprisingly comfortable and well equipped. Everything is beautiful and modern too! The kids enjoyed sleeping up in the loft beds. They also loved the games in the event barn, and the pool. A great spot to stay in the Montrose area!”

“The cabin was very cozy and comfortable. My son loved having the upstairs loft as his man cave. There’s a small pond just out front and the setting is beautiful. Definitely would stay again!”

“Comfortable housing and amenities. We enjoyed our time here - 3 nights. Management was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy. The kids liked the pool and playground and the pond with its fountains and ducks. I liked having the washer/dryer in the home. There were a few things lacking such as dish towels, kitchen utensils/colander, a couple of hand towels, and a fire starter for the community fire pit.”

“We loved staying in this tiny home. It will sleep 6, but we only had 3 of us in it. Enjoyed being able to sit at the firepit with a fire going and enjoyed the cute little ducks that came to visit from the pond out front the pin had a fountain and little bridge to enjoy as well the only thing we had a problem with was not enough towels. We only had 3, no extra, but they quickly brought us more. The soaps were empty in the shower as well. We had no wash pods for the washer. 2 coffees for……

“I have been in Montrose for about a month using motels to recoup after camping for work. I have tried at least 3 other lodging options and Surestay has been the best option by a long shot. Stephanie, Patrick and Evelyn have been amazing and made me feel very welcome. The rooms are extremely well kept, the breakfast is available as promised and piping hot.
