“The Bunk House is very quaint and peaceful…just what we wanted. It has everything we needed. It’s not far from town. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch. There’s a little path that you can walk down to the river too. Highly recommend staying at the Bunk House if you are in Cañon City. Loved chatting with Shari, she is so sweet.”

“We were impressed with the charm of this cabin and the surroundings. We were not able to stay both nights as planned due to a family emergency, but our hosts were very gracious to us. We would definitely return to this vacation rental.”

“Picture deceptive in that we expected to have more separation from neighbor homes. The “grass” was not mowed until 3 days before our departure. Outside seating not that desirable. We enjoyed the inside of the house w/an abundance of towels and two fireplaces. The kitchen sink facet is loose so needs tightening.”

It did appear that the place had been empty for awhile and could have used some dusting but other than that it was a great place to get away! Definitely would book again. “I took my two sons up to the cabin for a fun weekend and we had a blast! The cabin is close enough to Woodland Park for anything you would need but it also is far enough away for a little peace and quiet. The cabin was clean and well taken care of. The hot tub was a hit and in great condition. We loved all the nature we saw from the house. We saw deer and foxes! It was a great trip! ”

“This was a great little place for my husband and I to stay. Small, but enough space for both of us. We loved how close it was to Garden of the Gods, Pike's peak, Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, etc. Property was very clean and had all the basics. We were looking for a clean, simple, close by place and this was definitely it..Only kinda odd thing was the actual "compound" it was on. It was basically someones private property with a junkyard on it and some rentals lol. There were crashed and……

“We are a small family of 3. This is a cute home base while exploring the area. It is off a main road down a 2 mile bumpy dirt road. A small SUV or bigger is best! Upon arrival the cabin was clean in all areas except the main level bathroom. There are 2 bedrooms - one in a basement and one in a loft. The basement stayed cool but the loft is hot - even on cool days. We ended up buying a box fan just to have some cool air, as no fans are provided except felling fans.
