“Stayed in high end and low end places. Normally don’t care about most things and just leave a good review, until something really irks me. So I’ll start with main thing. Needed to foam roll after long days of driving so did so on the rug. Now the light sucks and I didn’t pay too much attention. Normally I don’t have allergies but started itching and there was a really strong smell of pet dander. With poor light quality, wood walls, and a dark rug I didn’t notice the state of rug. Well our dog……

“The cabin was in a quiet, private setting. It had all the amenities we expected, and more. We had a great weekend.”

“Great location- 2 clean cabins and great view of the pond! Off the beaten path. Busier road then expected so walking between the cabins with smaller children would have to be supervised - limited grocery storage for the five of us - later check in the most and earlier check - out! Fans kept us cool - beds comfortable ! Overall a few flaws but one of our favorite picks to date!”

“The cabin was extremely comfortable and clean and the view was superb. It was tranquil and peaceful as promised. We lucked out on the weather, 5 days of sun, with varying temperatures. Coffee on the porch most days as well as a few dinners. ( We tend to eat late, so the chill did set in a few nights.)As recommended, be sure to bring everything, food and personal care wise. Shopping IS a distance. Don't forget your bath towels. We almost did, but caught that requirement with last minute reading.……

“Very clean with well equipped kitchen and a nice deck but very tight quarters for a group of 5, ac in living room but no fans in the tiny bedrooms, no ventilation in bathroom or kitchen, nowhere to dry wet swimsuits or beach towels. Layout assumes that people will be sharing beds. Read the fine print about pets.”

“A very charming cabin that’s located on an awesome property, overlooking a little bay off the Atlantic. One evening after having spent the morning on a lobster boat and then steaming lobster and crabs in the cabin, I walked down to the stone peak on the shore. There were two seals near a school of fish about 30 yards out. Two bald eagles then swooped by, followed by an osprey. Everything about Swans Island is just great, a friendly community. I hadnt been to Maine before, and felt fortunate to……
