“My family stayed 1 night at Alnes Gard during our trip to Norway. We stayed here as a base to see Alesund and so glad we did! This place is a lovely little gem and we had fun exploring the small island. We saw lovely rainbows, experienced a beautiful ocean sunset, and went on a great hike! “We had great time . The view of fjord from the garden is amazing. Enough tables/chairs to enjoy view during breakfast. Our room had fully kitchen. Has washer/dryer. Although location is not walking distance from Geiranger port but the owner offers shuttles for a reasonable 150 NOK per person . The host Ian is very knowledgeable but can be awkward at times. He likes to talk about Geiranger which in a way is good for us tourists who are new to the area. I would suggest the owner to post better……
