“A HUGE problem with this accommodation is that even though the owners have written to Expedia to correct it, the listing indicates that this lodging is 27 km from Fram. It is actually 90 km and takes 2 hours to drive, most of which is on very narrow, windy mountain roads. The views are beautiful but we were not planning for such a long and harrowing drive. It is 27 km if you are a crow or have a helicopter. It was wonderfu when we finally arrived.”

“Amazing overnight stay at the Stalheim Hotel as a mid-point for our Norway-in-a-Nutshell tour. We absolutely loved the historic hotel. The lobby areas are wonderful for hanging out. Great service at the bar (as well as front desk and restaurant). We fell in love with the surrounding area - doing the hike to Nali and down the Stalheimskleiva winding road. Despite the age of the hotel, the rooms were very comfortable with nice showers and unbelievable views!”

“It is an historic hotel with a spectacular view to the lake. The room is large and cosy. It is just 3 minutes' walk to Voss station, therefore it is very convenient for us to catch the train to Bergen. The breakfast is impressive as we can enjo the lake view while having the tasty food. It may be a little bit difficult to find the reception as the door is small and open to the railway.”

“The hotel did not change the bed sheet before we checked in. We had to ask for new bed sheets. There was no light bulb on one of the light fixture. There were extension cords in the room for the light fixtures. Overall, I am not satisfied with the hotel accommodation for the price I paid”

“This is a mountain lodge - rustic conditions outside, but you'll find a very comfy bed on the inside. Stayed in the hotel and had two twin beds with comforters. I am hot-blooded so the Comforter was a bit much for me, but my wife was cold with one, so she asked for another. Shower was excellent and powerful! Dinner was excellent and the breakfast was a Nordic continental. Cured Fish, Cold Cuts/Cheese, H.B.Eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, home baked bread and jams, etc. Healthy and it will keep……
