“The hotel has an amazing location, fabulous architecture and is maintained in a great condition. The common areas and rooms were super clean. However at this price you would expect some level of service and hot water in the shower. Check in was ok - the person at the reception was obviously new so a little bit clunky check in process. However.. I had ordered a restaurant table in advance for dinner that night. When I showed up around 7, the restaurant was less than half full, and I asked……

“This property is not a hotel. It is a very nice B&B. What it describes itself as having is untrue. It is not a spa, per se. It has a treatment room and you can order (very good) treatments in advance. There is no restaurant or bar. You are offered an evening meal but you have a choice of two dishes which you order in advance. There is no starter and very limited dessert choice. There is a (very expensive) wine list. It lists, among other things, tennis courts, full spa services, mini golf, horse……
