“We loved our stay - Richard the owner was great at communicating with us, the property was as advertised and it is in a great location. Quick and easy to catch the bus to town or wander down to Hataitai village. The house is in a peaceful spot with lots of greenary and birds so it’s super relaxing. We also loved the open fire on a cold evening. ”

“The location is great and it is lovely to find a place that allows pets to stay. The fire was excellent and kept the cabin lovely and warm. Lovely pool but we didn't make use of it due to the weather.Unfortunately, this place was let down by the cleaning. It was OK, but needed a good vacuum and the bathroom bin had not been emptied. There were a few other smaller issues that were easily fixed.”

“This place was amazing! We had been quite busy travelling around and seeing the sights of NZ and really needed a little time to recharge and relax and this was the perfect place to do it! Such a pretty cottage with everything we needed. Loved sitting outside listening to the birds and enjoying the seclusion. Great place and the host was so helpful and considerate. Would heartily recommend. ”

“Really enjoyed this lovely spot. Very nice to sit out on the porch and take it in the view with dinner and a drink. Also drive down to the beach and had a nice walk. ”

“This property is a real back to basics. We've been to lovely hotels and B&Bs but this stay gave us the true rest we were looking for. We were met by Tom, who is a true gentleman, he showed us around and had baked fresh bread for us with butter, milk and breakfast waiting. No oven or cooktop but the bbq was adequate. Chooks visited each day and the paddocks, with the cows in, were only metres from the French doors. Not for everyone but it rejuvenated our souls. We are going back to stay again.……
