“We'd stayed here once before 7 years ago and I couldn't remember the name. We happened to re-book there this year and were so excited when we pulled in the driveway and realized where we were. “The hotel is very old and has a weird smell everywhere. The staff is not professional. The guy at the front desk wears a casual sweater and is not so friendly. Breakfast is expensive and terrible. They give you glasses slightly bigger than shot glasses for milk or juice. It takes forever to get a coffee and no refill. Food is tasteless. After I complained about the coffee when asking for the check, the waitress gave me a simple “Oh” with a confused facial expression. Unbelievable. ”

“The room is comfortable and clean. However, only disposable tableware is used for breakfast, which is not eco-friendly. The location is easy to access and in a walkable distance to Byward Market. The only drawback is there are a lot of homeless on the street but they didn’t appear to be threatening. ”

“It's conveniently located within 10 mins walk to the Canada History Museum, and the Richmond Landing water taxing stop. The facilities is nice and clean. Staff are overal friendly and accommodating especially the chef at the Cafe, and the PM male reception we encountered on the first day. The one star they lost is the cleaning. My young child dropped a piece of icecream on the bedsheet and smugged it - we stay for 3 nights. They didn't change the dirty bedsheet, although they folded the bed and……
