“My 14 year old daughter and I stayed for 3 nights while she competed at a show at the Virgina Horse Center. It was lovely to have a peaceful and relaxing place to come back to after our long and exhausting days at the VHC. Communication with Audrey was great from the start. The property and views are gorgeous, especially each morning as we left at dawn for the show. The beds are comfortable, plenty of hot water, well equiped kitchen, and the washer and dryer were a godsend. Can't recommend……

“I would say the room was great. It was clean and very spacious. The staff working in the office were very friendly and kind. The parking is plentiful and easy to access. The area around the hotel is quiet and calm. The only real consideration is that the area where this is located does not have much in the way of food options, shopping, or much else and the hotel staff and owners of course don't have anything to do with that. It's a great place to stay with lots of room and pleasant staff and……

“The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. As other reviewers have mentioned, the cabins were closer together than I expected, but they’ve done a great job at still making it seem very private. The river was shallow, so the pups really enjoyed walking in it. Jerry was always very responsive, as was Chris who we met when we arrived. Overall a great stay!”

“Had a great and relaxing time in their quaint little cabin with all the amenities you need and wonderful hiking trails around the cabin we ventured out on a few times! We saw a black bear, several deer, a coyote, and hummingbirds! Great place to have downtime and enjoy Gods creation!”

“The Jackson River Estate was the perfect getaway for our 2025 Family Reunion. The estate is very spacious and provides magnificent views. There is river access but the water is cold. The pool and slide were a big hit! Cole’s Point (beach), the humpback bridge and waterfall were super close and great excursions. This location is great for families that like to be outdoors…hiking, fishing, kayaking…Check-in/out was super easy. Although we heard there might have been a bear, there was no sighting.……

“We had an amazing vacation here at Sutton’s Roost. Home was terrific for us and our kids. Tons of room, well stocked kitchen, hot tub and sauna to calm our aching muscles after hiking all over the place. Upper back porch to relax and eat and watch the stars. Game room for movie nights with giant TV. Huge comfy beds for all. Wintergreen resort and surrounding area is absolutely amazing. “Alicia’s cabin was the most magical and perfect getaway. Everything was as advertised and was very clean and stocked with everything you could need. I’m glad Alicia listed instructions on how to get to the property because it is easy to miss on the drive in. She was very responsive and helpful with all of the local recommendations. The creekside cabin is the perfect place to unwind & relax. ”

“We had a very enjoyable weekend at this property despite the fact that it was either pouring rain or heavy winds. It is a wonderful property with amazing views of the mountains and a very cozy living room with a fireplace and comfy seating. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and overlooks the living room and the view. All the rooms are nicely decorated with comfortable furniture and very clean. We stayed there in the past and look forward to our next visit.”
