“The property was lovely, as was the proprietor. In fact it was really special. What was not special was our rooom. We paid a significant upcharge for a nice room with a terrace, but it was just roof of a porch, and not grand or luxe enough to justify the upcharge. The furniture was not original to the historic hotel.”

“This is a very neat hotel, but not comfortable to just hang out in the room. The bathroom was beautiful and super modern, which didn’t fit the era of the hotel, but I loved it. I would recommend putting up curtains in addition to the blinds because the hall light beamed in all night. There also is nowhere to get ice or water, so bring your own. ”

“Had a very quick one night stay. Friday night, so even though there wasn't live music, the sound of the bar below was still enough to interrupt my sleep until they closed. Very simple room/bed/bathroom. Bare bones but clean and in the heart of quaint Mercersburg. Would ask for an upper floor next time if available.”

“Disappointed beyond words. If a resort is going to not have a restaurant available when that is one of the main amenities then that should be disclosed before arrival. Rooms displayed crumbs, unknown items that my dog found and ate, blood stained mattresses on pullout, pealing paint in the bathroom and gave a “I’m a poor college student vibe”. When checking out and expressed my disappointment there wasn’t any concern, “I’ll pass it along””
