“This little cabin was in an ideal getaway spot close to hiking trails and perfectly situated in the mountains. Be aware that it is a mountain cabin. Everything works, and everything is clean, but it is a rustic. Specifically, there are tricks to getting a hot shower, but don't give up the water heater does work. They just did a whole bunch of improvements, and it made the cabin very comfortable. This is a mountain gem, and I couldn't recommend it more.”

“The little log cabin was perfect for me and my teen daughter. It felt private, the surroundings were beautiful. It was in a perfect location to explore the Yuba and Nevada City. The kitchen was basic but it had everything we needed. ”

“This spacious and well-appointed cabin was the perfect home base for our yearly Yuba getaway for three! The home had everything we needed, included a fully stocked kitchen. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful, and my dog enjoyed the fenced in back yard as well. ”

“Staying at Tara was an amazing experience. Everything was exactly what we were looking for to get away for the weekend! The cabin was spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals including spices and condiments (except butter), the couch was so comfortable, there were extra blankets, towels, toilet paper and even a first aid kit. “Location is beautiful (the stars are amazing!) and the house is absolutely wonderful. It has everything you need and the vibe is very relaxing and welcoming. We made use of the projector for movie nights which was super fun. One heads up - the master bedroom does not have any curtains, so I recommend eye masks for sleeping! “This place was amazing!! Only a couple of blocks from downtown restaurants. We did mornings at the river with the kids and then had dinner and ice cream in town with the kids. Made some great memories.”

“The cabin was perfectly located for our weekend snowmobiling adventure with HighLine Adventures at Kingvale. Close enough so that those who tired early could walk back to the cabin which is cozy, warm and nicely appointed. It was so nice that any time we were not on the snow, we spent back at the cabin rather than driving into Truckee. Lots of space for playing games, cooking, and telling tales. The woodstove is awesome. Andy is a remarkably thoughtful and responsive host. Great pre-check……

“Host was great, we were there for work and host allowed us to swing by early for clothes and food drop off so we didn’t have to take that to the job site. Cabin was as described, WiFi worked great. Would definitely recommend this place to stay and I would stay there again!”
