“We were very pleased with layout, cleanliness and location of this VRBO. The home was furnished nicely and had everything we needed except for a corkscrew but we had one in our car :) and a cheese shredder (or I couldn't find it). 5 Stars from us!!”

“The River House was exactly what we needed for our family, and more! The space was great for our 4, 2, and 1 year old, and the kitchen was super easy to work out of. “We were disappointed in this unit. This is a very old building that needs a lot of work. The windows are filthy. The front door mats are bunched up in a pile on the front stoop. The ‘movie themed’ decor was chinsy at best. The parking area is filled with garbage, broken cinder blocks, a tire, and a junked car. There weee old shoes on balcony. The ‘landscaping’ was filled with garbage and debris. The check-in rules and regulations are extensive (requiring expensive insurance or $5,000 cash……

“This space was excellent for all of our needs and more! We have family in the area and we were able to just walk everywhere needed. Excellent restaurant across the street. We have walked by this space countless times in the past when we lived downtown and never knew about it. The train that goes by is loud like a train should be but just added to the charm of the area cant say enough great things about it. Cant wait till our next stay!”

“This property was falsely represented . It was not clean . We found bugs , dead and alive , in dishes and on countertops . The windows were taped shut and filthy . The noise was horrible from a resident working on a vehicle and street noise was terrible .The stairways were narrow and steep . Air conditioning was ineffective . We left after 1 night .”

“Great experience! The staff were very nice and friendly. The hotel itself was clean and smelled clean as well. No stains on towels or bedding. Excellent hot water and pressure with all showers. We did not eat breakfast there only because we were visiting family due to a loss. We didn’t have time to check out the pool unfortunately. The only thing we noticed that could be improved was the bed. It wasn’t terrible but one a bit more comfortable would’ve made our stay darn near perfect! ”
