“The property was very easy to get in and out of. The accommodations were as described and we were overall pleased with the cabin. There were a lot of ladybugs and flies and we did have one mouse come for a visit. ”

“I stayed at the Treehouse September 21-22nd - this is paradise for trout fishermen (and women !) ! The property looks out over a wide swath of farmland where deer could be seen grazing. The Cumberland River is a short walk down from the cabin and from the ramp you can walk out into the river and chase trout ! I caught two nice rainbows early Sunday morning, and then switched over to my boat from the ramp in downtown Burkesville. The weather was perfect all weekend. Madison goes beyond the call……

“We had a very nice time with our family at the cabin. There was plenty of room and beds for our group of 10. There are two things we wish could have been different: 1. The cabin was not super clean. It wasn't dirty, but the cabinets and fridge needed a thorough wipe down (crumbs and some spillage). The windowsills had not been cleaned either - lots of bugs and dirt/dust. Additionally, the end tables in the bedrooms were pretty sticky and dirty. The bathrooms and beds were clean as well as the……

“We liked the area, how close the lake was just convenient in general. However the cleanliness of the cabin was very disappointing, there were spider webs all over the place. There was water leaking after we even took a shower… I do not think we would rent this cabin again.”

“This is the second time I have stayed in a VRBO property and for the second time I am disappointed so this will be my last. They just don’t clean these units. They pay people to clean them and charge us a fee but no one checks their work!!!!! It was filthy!!! Yes you get clean sheets and towels but that’s it. The floors obviously haven't been cleaned in months our feet were black and we had an infant who crawls around and we had to constantly wipe his feet and hands and wash his pacifier. There……

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Porter Lake Cabin this past weekend. Beautiful setting, tidy and comfortable cabin with everything you need. The only glitch was the internet wasn't working initially, but Robin and Michelle responded immediately and it was back up within 30 minutes. They clearly want their guests to be comfortable and enjoy their stay, and it shows!”
