“Great place to stay. There were four of us and it was about perfect with having one bathroom. Two kayaks, a canoe, and a paddle boat are there for use. But plenty of room if you brought your own. I would recommend bringing your kitchen essentials (spices, oil, condiments) as there aren’t really any there. Easy walk to the beach across the road. Road is 45 mph so people are hustling on the road but you can see a good half mile or more in each direction. Driveway is steep and not a ton of room,……

“We had a wonderful week at the cabin. It was very tranquil and very relaxing. Loved watching the hummingbirds and chipmunks. The sound of the river was so relaxing and Lake George is just minutes away. Pam was a great communicator and had some great suggestions for local restaurants. The cabin was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Highly recommend and would love to go back in the fall. ”

“Very nice, clean cabin. Super easy to check in and great communication. All our questions were quickly answered and addressed.Cabin is fully stocked, full kitchen, beautiful porch. Although there wasn't air, the cabin has plenty of fans and stayed quite cool Short walk to the beach and lake. Great for swimming boating and just relaxing.Dog had a great time too. There is a large hill to tackle if you feel like taking a walk. A little challenging....Quick ride to town for groceries, an ice cream……

“I had a last minute family emergency and needed a place to stay, quick! This Caroga Lake location was available and it worked out wonderfully. The location was great and the size was perfect. Communication with the host was wonderful. I accidentally locked myself out (whoops 😂) and the issue was resolved within a reasonable time. Would definitely stay here again”

“We stayed 3 nights in mid-July as a base for hiking in the southern section of the High Peaks. Cottage was cozy and welcoming, very clean, plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers to gather and also be out of each others way. Screened-in porch was lovely. House stayed fairly cool despite the stretch of hot/humid weather we hit. Access to fairly extensive hiking trails right on property. Easy drive to places like North Creek, Schroon Lake and Keene Valley. Would stay again. ”

We enjoyed campfires, listening to the loons, and star gazing every night. It was also great being able to bring your dogs, who am I say thoroughly enjoyed the water. ”

“Our stay was a great one! The location was perfect and the lake access, with private beach and kayaks, was a huge bonus for my kids. The cabin was a good size for our family of four. We wanted to be close to Camp of the Woods, but be on our own meal schedule, so we could not have had a better location. Being right next to the Speculator Inn was another bonus. Check-in and out was easy, communication was great with the owner. We're hoping to come back again!”

“Came in for the weekend to attend 2 DMB shows at SPAC and to have a field trip for my senior dog. Both Me and my Dog loved the place. Super peaceful area and in a reasonable distance to SPAC. One negative is that the AC wasn’t too great. It’s ok in the loft sleeping area, but downstairs stays pretty warm, and I was here during cooler summer temps. Just be mindful of that if you like your AC like I do.”

“It was nice to have have a kitchen so I could cook meals rather than nuke them. Though the microwave came in handy to reheat coffee. Also the Roku TV was a plus. I could watch my regular programs. I was out and about all day so mainly used the Cosy Cottage evenings through the night. The place was nice and clean will definitely stay there again. ”
