“I stayed at Kaliwa Lodge for 4 nights and was impressed by the tranquil and peaceful environment. The terrace is a great place to watch the sacred Mountain Kilimanjaro at different times of the day, and be connected to the nature. I brought along my yoga mat to practise on the terrace every morning. Food is great too, they prepared wonderful vegetarian food for me on request everyday. Staff is very nice and treat every guest with their heart. I really enjoyed staying at Kaliwa Lodge. ”

“Lodge was nice. It’s older but they are doing their very best to maintain. Gardens and trees were mature. Pretty! Monkeys were fun to watch as they played and clambered through the trees. Food was good but limited options. Breakfast that was included was really good! Staff were kind and helpful. Shop was small, some souvenirs. Rooms were clean, some tiny and some much bigger even though we paid same rate 2 different stays (before and after our Kili climb). It met our needs for sure of a quiet……

I showed him my payment confirmation and he tried to intimadte me by saying I was a thief and needed to pay in cash. The room was terrible and falling apart. I did not stay the night and never returned. This is a con ”

“I was there for business for 3 weeks. Very friendly accommodating service. Wifi was slow and spotty requiring constant log in. Food was very good. Very nice rooms. ”
