“The location of this motel is ideal for spending days in and around the gorge. It is a no frills, few amenities motel. The bed was sleepable and the shower pressure and temperature where excellent. “The room was seriously lacking in many things we take for granted: no coffee pot, no facial tissues, electric lamps did not work, furniture was old and shabby . . . just not up to a 5 star experience in any way except the staff. Those I met seemed genuinely concerned, but unable to make any real changes. Housecleaning staff needs to be fired and new ones hired . . . which I understand for all service industries today . . . that is a real challenge.”
