“Not very close to town 20+ minute walk. The hotel itself is very pretty. Most of the staff was great. The young lady who checked us in was more interested in her phone than assisting us. “Run by the kindest people (and friendliest cats!) in all of Salem, and could not possibly be more centrally located! You can walk everywhere from here, and you have a front row seat to any events in the square - it's literally right across the street. Parking in Salem is at a premium, and we are driving a crew cab truck to make it even worse, but Matt went WELL above and beyond to make sure we got a great spot. Do note - it's a lovely old house, but like most old houses, it does have steps, ……

“We loved staying in a house built in the 1600s! It was like getting to sleep in a museum rather than a hotel. Also - the Continental Breakfast was more than we expected! Beyond a few kinds of breakfast bread and a toaster, there was also whipped cream cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and a couple types of fresh fruit. We were very pleased. There were only a couple drawbacks (which would NOT keep me from recommending the experience): As no one works a front desk, you have to repeatedly call to ask……
