“Gosh! A beautiful cabin in such a beautiful setting! If there could be improvement, I may suggest dish detergent, bath soap, towel bars/hangers, bedside tables and lamps, as well as a table or chest of drawers to put clothes. Minor fixes I am certain will come as the house is new! Overall, an absolutely wonderful weekend that should have lasted longer!!! Many thanks!”

“We chose this location because it was close to where we were booked to go trout fishing. It was my husband and I and our adult son and his GF. The chalet was perfectly sized for the four of us but could easily accommodate more people if needed. The large deck with the outdoor seating was nice and the hammock was used by a couple of us to lounge. The sunsets were beautiful and we could see the lights of Wytheville below through the trees. “This cabin was the perfect size for our family of four. We were in town for the New River Trail races (I ran the 50k) and we enjoyed the map of the trail on the dining table. The kitchen was stocked and the snacks and K cups were appreciated. There is a trail down to the river (not for those with limited mobility) and it was a fun adventure finding the markers in the trees. The property manager was excellent and helped turn on the fireplace, which was my favorite feature since we were……

“Our winter weekend at Lost Horizon was perfect. The home is a gem inside and out with so many gathering spaces, amazing views, as well as privacy. We enjoyed the gas fireplace, cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and sleeping in the comfy beds. The owner has an amazing collection of books displayed throughout her beautifully decorated home. “My boyfriend and I stayed here for the second time with our two dogs (1st time was in 2023! We loved it so much we had to return when picking this year’s trip!) This Max Meadows cabin is so peaceful & serene, no neighbors in sight from the house, very private. Our two dogs loved all of the outdoor space they got outside to roam around.
