Would have stayed longer if our travel itinerary allowed. Would love to stay again. Captain Ron is a friendly and lovely host.”

“We wanted to find somewhere relaxing to stay for the weekend. To celebrate our friend getting married. It was perfect the view was amazing house has enough space no one fort on top of each other. Really close to the ferry to take to Jamestown ”

“The setting was the appeal; a first for us on a yacht. The river, surrounding peaceful setting, and my first time hearing 2 owls and seeing one cross the river in response. Host Capt Ron was so hospitable and personable, relating stories of special interest. Just what we were looking for.”

“About 20 minutes to walking & colonial Williamsburg, 20 to Busch Gardens. Very clean. It was really warm when we arrived but cooled down well enough (the upstairs more effectively than the downstairs but both were pleasant). This is a Hilton run resort and it was a gorgeous property with lots to do on its campus (indoor pool, mini golf, walking grounds, gym, fishing, etc etc). The kitchens were well enough appointed. Make sure you bring salt and pepper as they weren't included with the "basics."……

“We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The grounds were quiet and seemed very safe - we did hear the trains a few times, but with a white-noise speaker and some soft earplugs, it didn't bother us or the dogs at all. If……
