“Overall the house was spacious and comfortable, perfect for a small group weekend getaway. It was easy to find and provided a well stocked kitchen. Some of the downsides to the place included a couple of cleanliness issues namely old coffee in the coffee pot and surfaces of one of the dressers that needed to be wiped down. Additionally, there is a fire pit and woodburning fireplace on the property (as listed in the description) and while there is firewood in the rack in the pictures, it was……

We were delighted with the quiet wooded setting and the aesthetically pleasing cabin where everything from building materials to bedding were chosen with care and an eye for quality. We enjoyed the using the complimentary kayaks in Knapp Pond and using the hot tub and fire pit on cool evenings. “I enjoyed the quaintness of the cabin. It was spring and had the usual fluctuation of temperatures. How nice to put a fire in the wood stove for the chilly evening and rainy day. We used this spot as our landing spot between day bicycle rides. We visited a friend in Springfield and was able to see their work in the local gallery. We were a bit surprised by the long list of rules. The wet towel rule seemed a bit condescending and the threat of leaving any food behind… ”

“The house was exactly what we were looking for! It was so clean and had a great layout. The house felt really private and the area seemed pretty quiet and peaceful, no noisy neighbors. Our older kid loved having the bunk house as a bedroom. And the screened in porch was the most perfect and comfortable place for us to have all of our meals. I was a little worried about the lake when we first arrived. The house is located in a grassy part of the lake. But it is a quick boat ride to the sandbar……
