“We spent Christmas in Oak Cottage and it could not have been a more wonderful stay. Veronica was a communicative and helpful host from the get go and really went the extra mile by putting up some Christmas decorations up for us before we arrived. The cottage is just a little bit down the road from Beauly, so it's easy to get to as long as you have a car. The cottage itself is spacious and well-equipped with everything you'd need. “This property was an absolute dream. Fantastic views of Loch Ness, walking distance to Urquhart Castle, spacious, quiet, peaceful and clean. It was a bit difficult to find for the first time in the dark as it gets quite dark in Scotland, but that was more due to my unfamiliarity with the area than the instructions that were given. “We missed the turning as postcode didnt take us to the Bothie direct, but as soon as we saw the Laggan Lock sign right by the bus stop we never missed it. The place was easy to get the keys with the key code. The room its self was not like you see in the photos, which looks all cute and colourful.... and also not much room. “A beautiful house situated in a gorgeous location. We stayed for an extended family holiday - ages ranging from mid 60's to toddlers. Great bedrooms with plenty of bathrooms and a lovely aga to warm the house - even in August! Plenty of space for everyone, it never felt crowded, and all the little touches made it feel like home. It was a fantastic base to explore the local area, and didn't feel too touristy (compared to Aviemore). The laundry area was very useful for a week long stay. We……

“We have been to stay here twice now. We love the location. Great hikes, quiet, nature all around. I wish there was a dryer for our clothes. We use the washing machine, but it is usually raining outside or cloudy, so the clothes don't dry. Other than that we love the cozy space and the river just outisde the door. Thank you!
