“We were looking for a place to stay for a weekend trip to the New River Gorge (NRG) NP and this was perfect. The place was a good size for our family of four. It has been furnished with care and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I would stay again when I visit NRG NP.”

“We originally booked in July, but our Granddaughter was born sooner than expected. The host was gracious enough to switch our dates. Thank you Harry for your flexibility. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the Flat. The location was perfect for us. Great stay overall. Would definitely stay there again.”

“We went to West Virginia mostly for white water rafting. This house was only 10 minutes away from Ace adventures. Loved the small yown. We enjoyed the house. The kids loved the game room and hot rub of course. I will say for future families, the doors do not lock. Not the bedroom or the bathroom, so bring a wedge if u and ur signifigant other want some privacy”

“The house is nice and large. It is in a cool little part of town near a coffee shop and convenient to the new river. The internet was out for the first 24 hours and this led to our door code not working, which took us about an hour to get in. The property manager was very communicative, but unable to provide much real help, it sounded like they used some sort of remote service. The kitchen didn't have much in the way of cooking utensils/pots, and the grill was about 2 years past its replacement……

“The home itself was exactly as described and was clean and comfortable overall. A couple suggestions would be…-yard was not mowed and grass was quite high-futon couch was very uncomfortable to sit for any length of time-gate at hot tub was twisted and did not on its own which made it hard for my wife to open and close-Neighbor at corner left for work at like 5am and truck was very loud and rumbled the house during weekdays”

“Cute house! House totally remodeled everything seems new! Only things that I could complain about is the road the house is on is alittle busy and heater wasn't the greatest. A couple recommendations a bigger sofa like a sectional, and maybe a table and chairs for the deck out back. Definitely would stay at this place again!”

“What a find this place was! Loved the retro decor but with modern appliances and amenities. Very comfy beds and furniture, and lovely screened porch facing the woods. Mt. Hope is not much of a town but it’s located about halfway between the northern and southern ends of the NP which made for shorter drives in either direction to access trails. Both Beckley and Fayetteville are 15 minutes away where there are stores and restaurants for stocking up or eating meals out. This rental was such a great……

“The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we could not get the hot tub to work while we were there. The host was very communicative and the house was very clean and had all of the amenities listed. The game room turned out to be a gem that we didn’t expect to utilize as much as we did. Would definitely recommend this rental! ”
