“This was such a wonderful experience to have the opportunity to stay in a beautiful and lovingly restored period home. It truly was like taking a step back in time and like staying in a museum! Trudy was absolutely fantastic and I am so impressed with how she has cared for this home and that she opens it up for others to enjoy this property. “Although this home is about 15 minutes from the town of Killarney, the Irish farm experience is what we were looking for- & this home delivered. The house was clean & large enough for our party of 7 adults. My only recommendation to the owner would be to replace or add bed pillows & to include more towels (at least 1 bath towel per person). An outside table & chairs would have enhanced the experience. The patio overlooking the farm was really nice, but there was nothing to sit on out there.……

“Our weeks stay at the Herdsman’s House a few kms from downtown Sligo was magical. The accommodations were as advertised, impeccably clean, spacious and cozy at the same time. Spectacular views of Sligo Bay and the surrounding farmland. Sheep and cows in pasture surround the Herdsman’s House. Des and Mary made us feel like family, with great tips on places to visit, and what Ireland’s northwest has to offer. They also gave us a bit of the history of the community they cherish. “The house exceeded our expectations! We stayed over the Christmas holidays and the house was beautifully decorated for the season. Everywhere we looked there were sweet Christmas touches. The beds were very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We were welcomed to the home with a nice assortment of goodies including a bottle pf wine, local coffee and other local treats.
