“Bayfield House is located on the beautiful Flaggy Shore, in the heart of the magnificent Burren - perfect for daily walks and hikes. The house is warm and welcoming, with lots of space for our party of 14 - adults and teenagers. We could all gather together comfortably in the large living and dining room, and those who wanted a quiet reading or chatting space also found many a cosy corner. “The house exceeded our expectations! We stayed over the Christmas holidays and the house was beautifully decorated for the season. Everywhere we looked there were sweet Christmas touches. The beds were very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We were welcomed to the home with a nice assortment of goodies including a bottle pf wine, local coffee and other local treats. Colin, Fleur, Donald, and Jolita were very attentive to our needs and only a phone call or email away. The cold weather and almost daily rain did not deter our family from getting together and create unforgettable memories to be cherished for a lifetime. “The farmhouse was immaculately clean. The views of the Galtee Mountains with the mist rising up from them were mesmerizing. The furnishings were comfortable. Christine graciously came over and spent an hour going over the operation of the heating and kitchen appliances and bringing the tv back online for our use at my request, and we very much enjoyed the opportunity to visit with her about life on her side of the pond. The issues we ran into were the heating for the house and water seemed to go……

“Unfortunately, the separate toilet is not a plus point because it is not located directly at the yurt. You still have to walk across the yard. There is no restaurant or similar within walking distance. Overall it is quite ok there. However, it doesn't offer any more comfort than the staying in our van and so in my mind too expensive. ”

“We had a fantastic time at Winchmore Hill House. We had 2 families and the house was the perfect size for our large group - not too small and not too big. The large group would usually congregate in the kitchen/dining area which worked great especailly w/ the easy access to the patio. We visited many towns on our daily tours but were glad that we picked Kenmare as our base as again it was the perfect Goldilocks fit small and quaint but still plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from.”
