“We had a nice stay at the Texican. The home was nice and in a great location very roomy with all the amenities of home. The only complaint is that the ac is not able to keep up with the size of the home. Although they have portable units in 3 of the rooms the house was still warm in the two rooms without the portable units and also in the living room/dining room as the portable unit is not big enough for the size of the room. I would suggest getting a bigger unit installed or at least add……

“In my opinion, this property is not suitable for renting to the public. The primary factors are safety, health, and the general state of the property. Safety concerns are driven by the state of the electrical wiring. There are multiple instances of exposed live wiring cables in violation of National Electric Code (NEC). There was at least one lighting circuit with an over sized breaker (30 amps) that was tripped each time you turn on the main bathroom lights indicating a significant fault in……

“My family of 5 stayed for 4 nights during Christmas. This house had everything we needed. 4 comfortable beds all in same room without a wall. This prevented my teenage children from hiding in their room, LOL. Instead we all talked, played games every night. The yard has a picnic table, fire place, bbq grill, and a fishing pier with night light. On top of that the price was very affordable. What more can I ask? Plus the host left a small Christmas tree before our arrival and made christmas……

“My college age son and I like to fish the Texas bays. It was our first time to East Matagorda Bay and Sargent. The town is quaint and quiet. The house worked out just dandy for what we needed. Clean, comfortable and cold A/C. Had outside power to charge the boat battery and 3 water sources to rinse things. We cooked and grilled our catches. The boat launch was only 5-10 minutes away.”

“We stayed at your cabin for the 4th of July weekend. We really enjoyed the location and had a great time. We took our boat down and we were able to keep it tied to the dock which was very nice. There was a lot of boat traffic on the creek but that was to be expected. Great place and great hosts. Would definitely come back again.”
