“My stay was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the great view from the deck, perfect at the end of a long day. The house was cozy and well-appointed. Parking was somewhat tight for my camper, but I was nevertheless able to park without too much trouble by backing into the upper parking space. Melissa was quick to offer alternative parking options, which I appreciated. I would definitely return if I was in the area again!”

“This is a beautiful house with views of the water and quick access to the Alki beach area. The house was immaculate and spacious. Our children had fun claiming their bedrooms and running up and down the stairs. There were so many extras in this home: tons of board games, a record/radio player and a working fireplace in the dining room. Whenever we return to the Seattle area, we will definitely be staying here.”

“Great location, close to restaurants and the waterfront. Clean, well set up and good communication. Bedrooms/bathrooms are far enough apart to allow for privacy when you're traveling with close friends (but not *that* close). Would absolutely stay again!Please note that the garage entry is quite tight. Getting in is OK, but even with a mid-sized car with cameras, I needed my friend directing me out inch by inch to avoid running into the sides of the door or the cement wall that angles in towards……

“There are tons of windows and deck areas overlooking Puget sound. We saw orcas, dolphins, seals, river otters, and bald eagles all from the house. The house is built right on the water wall which is great for seeing animals and going on the beach. It is not great for cars. We drove the car down to load and unload but then parked at the neighborhood parking lot about a block away. The waves at high tide come right up to the top of the sea wall and if a cargo ship goes by it will shower your car……

“We used this as a second location for housing my family for a get-together (we live nearby). It's a beautiful property and location. The pictures are exactly what you'll see when you get there. Easily walkable around the neighborhood. Property management was in contact with us continuously.”

“Our kids live in Seattle so we all met up on Bainbridge Island. The house was perfect for us. There were really two bedrooms for adults (the other were bunk beds). There were wonderful trains and a a mild kitchen downstairs which our grandson loved. The weather was beautiful and we had our dinners out on the deck with beautiful water views!!!”

Summer has truly thought of everything for her visitors and she responded very quickly when I had a question. “The views from this property are unbelievable. You can whale watch from the backyard. It’s like Alice in Wonderland, the deer, the squirrels, the birds were in abundance during our visit. Little nervous about being beholden to the ferry to get over to Seattle, but the ferry terminal is .3 miles from the house, and super simple to access. I will stay here again. Highly recommend, just not when I’m visiting!”

“This was our first time to Seattle and I wasnt totally sure what to expect about the location, but this was excellent. An easy drive into central downtown and only about 10 minutes to the beach. The location was private and quiet, and the house was just as advertised. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well appointed. The rooftop view was gorgeous once the sun came out! Would highly recommend.”

“The house is unique in that it features special decorations, with each room inspired by a classic book. We appreciate the owners' effort in remodeling the house and their attention to detail in creating a literary-themed experience—we love it!Another positive aspect is the location; it's very close to the beach, great restaurants, and the water taxi that takes you to downtown Seattle.However, we want to inform future renters that this is an old house, and there is a noticeable smell. “From beginning to end, what a wonderful visit. In and around the neighborhood and throughout the island, we heard birds, watched ferries come and go, walked in the woods, and wondered what it would be like to live here. It’s just a 30 minute ferry ride away from our home in Seattle, but this lovely, comfortable, peaceful home made us feel like we travelled far away for a restful break from routine. ”

“A few things broke during our stay but they were quick to fix it. It could have been cleaned a little better. Found crumbs and dirt in a few places but overall a great place. ”

“This property was just what we needed. We were in town for a work event and mainly were there to sleep and eat between shifts. There was the perfect amount of space to accommodate our group. The beds were very comfortable! The house was stocked with everything we could have needed and the view was amazing! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!”

“We stayed in suite 8. It was great. But would like to bring to your attention the electrical outlet under the window. We plugged our phone charger in and the cord was so hot it could hardly be touched. Tryed another outlet to see if it was the charger or the outlet. The charger was fine in the other outlet. The evening brought strange snaps or some sound from that outlet. Thought you should know, so you can get it checked for safety. It made me feel uneasy. Thank you. ”
