“Great stay”

“The cabin was easy to find and the road was in good shape. The shower has strong water pressure which is not always the case. The kitchen is well stocked. We even used some of the maple syrup when we wanted to make French toast!”

“My family enjoyed this property immensely. A secluded cabin in the woods but with all the comforts of home made everyone happy. My husband enjoyed fishing in the river while the kid explored the shoreline and rock hunted. We made outdoor campfires and s’mores, and snuggled up by the indoor fireplace with books. Be aware it is a long driveway, so any plans out and about take a bit longer. The Food Lion in Millers Creek is about a 20 minute drive. ”

“Wonderful property. We were looking for a peaceful, quiet and serene weekend. That's exactly what we got. Every morning, with a cup of coffee, we would seat on the porch and end up watching the trout in the river under the covered meeting area. At night, we would enjoy the silence of the night with the sound of the river .. so relaxing.We signed up for the Cloud Wine VIP membership, because we enjoyed the property so much.We highly recommend you stay at this property or one of the other lodging……

“We love this place. This was our second visit. It is quiet, secluded, and you have a rushing stream right next to the backyard to enjoy. Plus a fire pit with outdoor overhead lighting. Absolutely magical at dusk. The property is well kept, clean, and cozy. The owners are very kind and friendly, and we always have good communication. It’s about 35 minutes from West Jefferson. In our opinion, the best way to get to West Jefferson from the cabin is to turn right at the metal bridge on Walsh road,……

“This house was perfect for my family ski trip, 20 min from App Ski Mountain. House is off the beaten path and 4 wheel drive would be necessary if there was any weather at all. The house was everything we could have wanted.”

Close to groceries, easy access to Boone and West Jefferson and the Blue Ridge Parkway, though it was still under some repairs from hurricane. ”
