Nice 3 star hotel. We really enjoyed the food at the buffet. The room was nice and spacious but it lacked in storage options. There were no drawers to put our things. Just one closet with some hangers and shelves. The wifi at the resort was not consistent. Worked great in the room but not so great everywhere else. The beach was a little disappointing. There were lots of rocks and barely any sand so walking without water shoes was impossible. It was our first time in Curacao, and I would say the hotel was just ok. Most of the entertainment and restaurants was at the hotel next door. The good thing is that if you stay at the Rif, you can use amenities of both hotels. It had a nice waterpark as well.

This has to be a nightmare!! I booked for Valentines day weekend from about 6 weeks ago. They called me Thursday night to tell me they are overbooked and they wouldn't be able to accommodate me and I had to stay at the sister hotel and that's all they can do. The sister hotel was a like a kids amusement park where i wanted a romantic get away. I said well I want a refund im not going and getting kicked down to a low graded hotel. The customer service is bad as I am still waiting for an answer on a refund. I wouldn't book this hotel as it maybe understaffed and not reliable. BEWARE!

We stayed at the RIF, new resort. The stay was good, the buffet was one of the best experience we encountered compared to other all inclusive resorts we have been to in the past. The restaurants for dinners didn’t stack up in comparison to others in other all inclusive resorts.

This resort was beautiful however it has some of the worst service I’ve seen. Nobody wants to help you. Waiters leave your tables filled with dirty dishes from previous people and expect you to still sit down at the table. You have to continually try to flag them down for a long time before they come take your order. When they finally bring you the food you have to go up and get your own utensils because they ignore you when you try to ask. Even service at the bars were slow and inconsistent drinks. Out of the 8 days that we stayed here we could only get reservations to restaurants 3 nights as they make it so difficult to book. Overall it was a disappointing stay to say the least.

I liked that it was clean and staff were very friendly. Response could be quite slow at times, I had to wait one hour for toothpaste and I ended up being late for my appointment. Also I requested for my room to be cleaned at the beginning of the day and I came back in the evening time and my room had still not been cleaned. The food and drinks were fine. I can’t give an accurate review of this property because The Rif at Mangrove changed my reservation less than 12 hours from when I was supposed to land and arrive at their hotel. They transferred us to another hotel who had no clue we were coming. I wasn’t put in the a room similar to what I booked at The Rif. I booked ocean view and my view at my stay that I was transferred too was roof tops with air conditioning wrapped in duct tape. I highly warn those considering this property to not book. According to the hotel I got transferred too, there was a long list of others that were put in the same situation I was in. The staff at the Rif are very rude and not empathetic to the inconvenience they cause to others. Simply put, don’t book here.

Difficult to make reservations at restaurants; no poolside service - clean up or drink delivery. Long waits at bars, no room clean up - overall, nice property with potential but not what we paid for. They need more staff who are better trained in customer service/hospitality and better chefs/cooks. Also don’t count on seeing the Caribbean- ships parked in front every day.

Our room was downgraded when we arrived without any compensation, after paying for ocean view room for our entire stay. We were given a room with no view for the first three days because they said there were no ocean view rooms available. We only got our ocean view room after three days. This was very disappointing and inconvenient.

I felt safe and at ease on property and it was an easy walk to town. I booked one of the swim up adult only rooms and there was a child there everyday (kids will be kids so there was some noise, I did report to front desk however it continued)…ordered room service (still waiting for my order and trip has been complete for several weeks now)…I had a nice time despite the hiccups and would book again due to safety, cleanliness and overall appearance.

We stayed for a week and overall had a wonderful time. The resort property is beautiful , well maintained and very walkable. We enjoyed access to both the Rif and the sister property next door. Couple things to consider if you’re looking to book: - The Rif is QUIET. No swim up pool bar, no pool music, not a lot of entertainment throughout the day… expect to relax not party. We found a more lively vibe next door at the sister resort. - Rent a Car! Free parking at the resort was safe and easily accessible. The resort beach is fine, but often obstructed by cruise ship views. As well, for ‘front row’ or cabana seating at beach & pool, it is a significant upcharge ($50-$150 USD). We felt the plentiful nearby public beaches were a much better option for swimming/snorkelling. -Really good buffet food options and quality for an all inclusive, changed a little each day and had reasonable hours of operation. Downside is service for beverages/table clearing is quite lacklustre and you often end up pouring your own drinks and cleaning your own tables for places to sit even off peak times. - Very good a la carte food quality and variety of restaurants however the online reservation process is a little tricky and could be improved. - Great cocktails and bartenders at all the beach bars! -Niche maybe, but the onsite cafe had no iced coffee options and that was odd & disappointing -Housekeeping super hit and miss - sometimes the mini bar was stocked, others not so much.
