“We felt so fortunate to stay at the Gage Mansion while in central Pennsylvania for our son's recent Penn State graduation. While the inn is a 45 minute car ride from campus (and full disclosure: a really hilly, windy one at that), like many PSU parents we found ourselves looking for alternatives miles from campus as State College has a well-known shortage of hotel beds for its big weekends. “We were there for a college graduation and had to leave early on Saturday morning to get to the ceremony. Although breakfast hours were advertised to start at 7:00 on Saturday, everything was open and ready by 6:45, which was a welcome surprise!”

“Hi, It is an older property but is well maintained and kind of interesting to stay in a kind of Retro Motel. Was very quiet and a nice restaurant right behind the motel. Nice view from deck. My mattress could have been better but all in all nice property. ”

“Great property and great value. Stay here with my husband and my dog. It was clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. Good breakfast from 6 to 930. Furniture was a little rundown, but that just doesn’t really matter to me. And there was a Planet Fitness right behind the building and a Perkins in front, along with many other shopping options”

“It seems like an older property but it is well kept and clean. The beds were comfy and the shower had plenty of hot water and water pressure. The staff has always been friendly all three times i have stayed here. The property is easy to find since it is on Plank Rd which is one of the main roads that all the shopping and dining is based on. It is quiet since it is about a mile south of all the shopping so it is close enough to everything you might want but not in the middle of all the traffic……
