“this place was out in the middle of nowhere but was amazing. It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. “The cabin was beautiful and exactly what we expected from the photos. We had no complaints and communication was wonderful. The only thing I would note is the pet fee is $75 per dog that was not part of the listing until the house rules were sent 5 days before the stay.”

“We drove 14 hours and this was just the place we needed to unwind and get a good nights sleep. Pet friendly and quite the charming decor. The extra large bed was quite comfortable and plenty enough to share with my teenager with tons of room. The gorgeous setting and vintage decor made it all a worthwhile experience. Loved the chickens roaming freely and we were wishing we had more time to enjoy this hidden gem. I would stay here again on our next trip through! It’s a little off the highway……

“The house is stocked with everything you need, if you want to make meals for family or if you’re just using it to have a place to stay while visiting the area. The fresh fruit and bottles of water in the fridge, the free pizza from the gas/grocery store next door, the shampoos/soap/toothpaste in the bathrooms were nice added touches of a welcome. “It was a quiet clean little place to stay. Walking distance to a grocery store and fast food joints. I met Ryan the owner, he was a super nice guy, he was flexible and easy to work with. His place was stocked with all the essentials. I was there for work, but it would be a great home base for a vacation getaway. There's plenty to see in the surrounding towns. If I'm ever in the area for work or pleasure I will definitely contact Ryan and see If he has a place available to stay.”

“We had a lovely weekend at the Verdie May House. It's a tiny place, but full of charm. As long as you know you're staying at a small historic house, you shouldn't be surprised by the creaky floors, steep stairs and ability to hear each other in separate rooms - all part of the experience! “We loved staying at this comfy apartment! It's located on a quiet street that is an easy walk to downtown. There are 2 nice bedrooms, cozy living room and large kitchen. We slept soundly because it was so quiet! We'd have used the outdoor seating area but it was raining. Check-in was a breeze and the all the info (door code, wifi etc) was super easy to find. Met the owner (who was lovely!) and got to meet her dogs, which we loved. Favorited it in vrbo for our next visit to Lewisberg!”
