“We had a group of 7 retirees staying at the Wolf Lake Lodge for a weekend of snowmobiling. The log home is beautiful and was furnished with everything we needed. Sleeping arrangements were a bit cramped since we had 3 singles in our group, this was not a surprise. Hanging all of our gear was also challenging, there is a lack of hooks and areas suitable for a group our size. The snowmobile trail access was about 7 miles by plowed rode. “We had a great stay while attending our son’s NMU graduation and moving him to Houghton to become a full time yooper. We will definitely return for visits. It is a great location and very comfortable. Morning coffee on the lake lot while overlooking the glass calm lake and perfect reflections in the water was a wonderful break from our busy weekend. “This was a cozy little place to stay in the UP. It was exactly as described nestled on the hillside of Champion. A very welcoming site after 14 hours of driving. The house was neat, very clean, and stocked with everything you would need for your stay. All you needed was your clothing and food for your stay.
