“We enjoyed our stay very much. The space was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was pretty well stocked in both pans and staples. We were disappointed, however, with how full the freezer was with food, almost to the point where we couldn’t store what we brought, and the refrigerator was fairly filled as well We also would’ve liked if the campfire chairs had been better maintained, but the grill worked well. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and felt it was a very good value.”

“We had a great time at Mary's home in the woods. We are UVA alums, so it was great to be back at our old stomping grounds. The kitchen was well-appointed and the beds were cozy. The kids didn't like that there weren't any streaming options for them, but the parents didn't mind! ;) Overall, it was a great place to stay with family.”

“Pillow Talk was a great place to stay! A cozy two bedroom with all the amenities. Right on Main Street and we could walk to restaurants, cafe, and shops! Close to great wineries, yet still in the counteyside. Highly recommend renting this as your base for a few days.”

“This was a great spot for a college reunion of 10 guys. We jump around from year to year, but are planning to come back here. We were all amazed at the construction of the main house and it's giant pine logs. (Suggestion: hire a professional photographer to represent the place better on this site.) We had plenty of space in the main house, but also used the tree house which was great as well. The kitchen had everything we needed and was spacious. The fireplaces got used a bunch, but did take……

“My extended family of 10 stay for the week. With 5 active kids ages 9-12 there was plenty of kayaks, tubes, and canoes for them to use. The river is calm in front of the house. Yes the hill to the water is steep but it wasn’t an issue for any of us. The porch rocking chairs on the screened porch was wonderful for drinking coffee and watching the river every morning. There’s a stack of firewood for the fire pit which is nice of the host to supply along with sticks (in the kitchen) for roasting……

“Everything from reservations to check out was wonderful. The accommodations were very cozy and the surroundings by the pond and animal enclosures were beautiful. We enjoyed seeing some deer and wild turkey from our window also. We chatted with Peter and he is delightful. Other than a few minute chat, we only saw he and his wife doing chores around the farm. We stayed in HB1. HB2 is basically the same and the Manor House right behind them looked.great for a larger party. ”

“We spent the last week at Four Fields Farm. To say it was a beautiful location is an understatement! I can only imagine when the scenario is in full bloom how amazing it is. To add to that, the home is great, spacious, comfortable has everything you could possibly need and the hosts are the best! We worked while we stayed with 2 pets.
