“Super cute, clean and comfy little cottage. This was a great place to stay for a weekend getaway and only 40 minutes from State College! The hosts were wonderful and made us feel at home. We look forward to coming back in the future! ”

“I planned on spending my birthday in happy valley and searched all over for a place, then I found Lakewood cottage. I talked it over with the other couple that came with and it was an easy yes for the 4 of us. The place wasn’t far from the stadium and easy to get to. It was clean and tidy and overall an amazing stay for the weekend. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Great property, great stay at a very nice cottage. We visited for the weekend for Penn State’s homecoming. Close to the stadium, easy access to I-99 and plenty of food options w/in 3 miles. Two bedrooms w/king size beds and a couch w/a trundle. Very comfortable w/TV, patio, firepit, and charcoal grill. The worse part of the weekend was the non-stop rain on game day.”

“This is a remodeled small home up against a mountain near the river. Serene view of water from porch. Right next to a 2 lane road. Can get some busy moments of automobiles. The owners do make efforts to provide a comfortable stay with linens, hair dryers, soaps, signage, tv. All noted in listing. Very easy to communicate with them. ”

“My Wife and I took a long weekend up to the sandstone sanctuary, we appreciated having no TV and enjoying the peaceful sounds of the woods surrounding us with the occasional Frank Sinatra song on the bluetooth record player. The house was super cozy and had everything you need for cooking and most importantly relaxing. Justine was super friendly and made sure we knew she was only a phone call away! Loved this place and wish we could give a million stars! Will be visiting again!”

“We spent a rainy weekend here for a nearby trail challenge. It was great to have a warm dry place. The cabin was well stocked for cooking and hanging out. My favorite part was the fire ring and wood for a fire. ”

“This A frame house was amazing. The owner paid excellent attention to detail and made the whole experience (even in dead of winter…) really enjoyable! Will be staying there again!”

“Beautiful quaint cabin 15 minutes from Penn State. The hosts are the nicest people. Stayed for the weekend so we could go to the game. Was the perfect place to stay. There’s so much family history in that cabin, was glad we could stay there. ”

“The owners were excellent hosts. Great value for the price. Located in nice neighborhood. Loved the rustic wood floor and antiques. Clean and warm. Owners kept the kitchen stocked with tea and coffee. Very “homey” feel. The open bathroom wasn’t a big issue for us since we stayed with family. Less expensive than any other hotels in the area, especially on a game weekend.”

“Everything was great and as advertised. Good communication with hosts. A 4 for location only because it is a bit remote - but this can also be an attraction for some (it was for us). There is a hot tub, but did not experience it due to it being a rainy April day / night. Would recommend and would stay again!”
