“Friendly staff,clean”

“As an older lady who's stayed at everything from air bnbs and motels to fine resorts in Hawaii and castles in Europe, I'd like to offer a bit of advice to any newbie travelers out there. Lodging reviews are very subjective. The core of each one stems from personal perspectives and what is important to the reviewer. There are one-star and five-star reviews volleying back and forth, back-to-back, making it tricky to figure out what's accurate! Well, they are all accurate in the minds of their……

“We had a great stay at the inn. It's in the perfect location--right next to the canal and Lake Michigan. ”

“Stayed for 5 nights while in town visiting family. We had a good stay with no issues. Clean room and decent hotel amenities. The only thing I didn’t like was the pillows. Way too soft and flat. Bring your own if you’re a picky pillow person like me. We would stay here again.”

“The staff were very friendly and nice. They were quick to help me with my needs and they are DOG FRIENDLY!! That is very important to me. They respected I chose no service as I had my Dog but kindly replaced my towels when I asked the for fresh.”

“Had a late night check in so it was kind of a little hard to see where the entry was from the main road. Staff was very friendly. They had a good variety for complimentary breakfast. The beds were bit too soft and it took awhile to get warm water while showering. Overall, not bad for 1 or 2 night stay. Especially when it is close by to the lake. ”

“We had an amazing stay, then right before we left the city we were trying to find our daughters phone, when i went to call the hotel they had already left a message saying they found it and her stuffed animal. They went above and beyond. ”
