“Great place to stay....just down the road from my son and his families home. Mom and I traveled to Springfield to meet our granddaughter. We stayed 6 nights and then I came back for another 4 days 2 weeks later. I stayed again. The beds were very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast (included) was great! I would recommend Comfort Suites near Route 66 to anyone wanting to stay overnight during traveling or if Springfield, IL as your destination, this would be a good place……

“Fantastic location!!! Walk to EVERYTHING downtown. Next to train tracks, you will hear every train. I like that and don’t wake for the night trains! You? Room newly but simple and basic reno, except not the bathroom yet. Room was spotless and functional and big. New owners are fantastic, but fixing up what had been a dilapidated hotel takes time and money so if you’re needing perfection stay elsewhere (& pay accordingly!). If you want an imperfect work in progress place to stay for a really good……

“Everything was great! Service was very friendly. Great location to all of the attractions downtown. Only downside was we found ants in our room, not an infestation at all but we did find an ant in our room on four different occasions. Maybe they were due to have the exterminator come? Overall it was a great stay and we would stay there again.”
