“This is a cute cottage on Russell Island, just a few houses up from a shallow sandy beach great for kids and families. The home was nicely decorated, clean, the linens and bedding were fresh, kitchen stocked with some helpful cooking basics, the beach toys and kayak wonderful, as well as the hospitality from both the owner, Carole, and caretaker, Audrey. Audrey met us at the boat and helped facilitate a golf cart for us and had fresh bread waiting at the house for us; it really made the arrival……

“It is hard to describe what a wonderful place Middle Cay is. Our family of 13 (8 adults and 5 children ages 5-8) just spent the best week ever there. This island offers everything but especially Mother Nature in all of her glory. The accommodations were perfect, when in the main house you felt like you were on a boat. Riguardo l'isola in generale, ci sono pochi servizi: un solo market e qualche grocery, ma il problema sono le spiagge, difficili da raggiungere e spesso senza indicazioni o se ci sono, sono sbagliate. Forse, anziché i posti dove mangiare, gli host potrebbero consigliare le spiagge del luogo e soprattutto come raggiungerle.”

We’re familiar with power outages on island but without WiFi and sketchy cell service in the area, we had to drive 20 minutes down the road to inquire about the outage.
