“Really good location and very clean room. Only complaint is the windows are not well sealed so you can hear the traffic on the street. Also you can hear sounds from next door very clearly... The owner did provide earplugs but I feel it doesn't necessarily work for everybody.”

“It's in a nice location if you're spending one night for visiting volcano national park, but it's definitely not okay if you want to stay longer,because it's really far from EVERYTHING. The closest downtown is 45 minutes away by driving. The room is nice but simple. The wall is so thin that I could hear the detail conversation of my next door neighbor.”

“Guesthouse was very much as shown: community spaces for bathrooms and cooking etc. and the location was great, very close to Akaka Falls yet outside of town enough to enjoy slowing down. Found great shaved ice at the Aloha General Store. We stayed in the king bed room, which was clean and mostly comfortable, but gets baked in the sun from sunrise. The room was very hot and could use a ceiling fan, the small one provided barely worked to cool the large room… and having the windows open meant……

“Clearly the owner put a lot of thought into equipping this for travelers. The coffee station, especially, wowed my husband and was the best we've ever seen in a rental. The tub worked great. It was very clean, with no bugs seen (unusual for a HI rental—the place we stayed after this had Gregor Samsa for a roommate), and that's a testiment to how well it's kept. There's every cooking implement you could ever want, but if you plan to do much cooking, pick up some cooking spray/oil and favorite……
