“As adult ski bums, we tried out 4 Winter Park inns under $200/night in this season. Viking Lodge is our favorite and the least expensive. It is an old lodge and exactly what they advertise: a very basic room with private bath and a refrigerator. If you can enjoy an old fashioned ski lodge, this is a perfect place. (If you need glamour and upscale, this is not your place.) The room was very comfortable with lots of extra pillows. There is no breakfast (same as 2 of the other lodges we stayed……

“The hotel is a cute bed and breakfast style place. The rooms were comfy and had a nice historic vibe. The shared kitchen/lobby had all the proper continental breakfast fixings. If you like the charm of B&B's combined with cozy/comfy rooms then this is the place for you!”

Breathtaking views and only 10-15 minutes to town. Saw several mule deer and elk. Hot tub was clean and professionally cared for. Games, books and thoughtful touches.The whole family loved it here!”

“Cozy cabin that blends privacy and convenience. The location is remote enough to feel like you’re getting away from everything, but close enough to modern conveniences that it’s not a slog to go in a quick grocery run. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t really working, but otherwise it was perfect! ”
