“The staff at this location are amazing. The only things about the hotel that bring the rating down are mechanics of the room. I've never been in a hotel that didn't have an exhaust in the bathroom, that was odd. The bathroom door had a lock, but it didn't actually lock the door. The thermostat in the bedroom didn't bring the temperature down. The living room was very comfortable, but I'm not going to sleep on the pull out couch. If it weren't for the fan in the bedroom, the bedroom would've been……

“The hotel was under a major renovation as of Oct 2023. The rooms were dated, which is okay. The cleanliness of the room was acceptable. There wasn't much offered for the complimentary breakfast. I am sure this place will be a nice place to stay when finished. This hotel is a bargain compared to the surrounding area hotels.”

“So relaxing and beautiful surroundings! Our hosts were amazing and the cookies at check in were so delicious!! The town of Elsah is literally you taking a step back in time! Over 50% of the town is the original buildings from the mid 18 hundreds! The Bald Eagles were very active when we were there! Our hosts gave us a private tour of the town’s museum it was amazing! You can’t go wrong staying there and visiting ”
