“This hotel is closed and has ceased trading. When we arrived it was closed up and a local lady said it was closed down. I’m still waiting for a refund from Hotels.com. Don’t book this hotel. ”

“The Green Elephant is stunning. Conveniently located (if you have transport) for getting around Lilongwe but not directly in the middle. The staff are relaxed, friendly and professional and helped every day. They made me special vegetarian options on request, and let me help myself to other foods. The furnishings are top notch. “This hotel is very comfortable. The staffs are very kind. You can ask questions you have on your trip. Especially, Mr. Aditya, front office manager, told me how to go to other cities. In addition, I was very peased with meals in this hotel's restaurant. You can eat not only local foods but also Indian and Chinese ones. I can reccomend this hotel with confidence.”

“This little gem truly has everything you could need. I had to book a night unexpectedly due to a transportation emergency and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was welcoming even on a last minute reservation, the restaurant and pool areas were relaxing and the food was fantastic. The room was spacious, clean and in order as well. Spanish omelette for breakfast was one of the best I have had anywhere. If you need a place to stay that is convenient, clean, safe and welcoming in Lilongwe,……

“PLEASE go elsewhere if you have the choice. Poor room service, the restaurant does not have a good decent menu. However, the people working at the hotel are kind and try their best with the limited tools and training they have been empowered with.There is no shuttle service attached to the hotel. You need to make personal arrangements or pay for a taxi.”
