“A stunning hotel and an absolutely beautiful location. Hotel decor on point at every level and throughout, no short cuts taken or spending held back. Rooms super clean, generous size, warm and comfortable. Service in the hotel was incredible throughout and from every Team member, a credit to the owners. Food at breakfast and the dinner menu were both excellent and the highest level. Can’t wait to rebook for a few nights in the summer!”

“I felt so warmly received by everyone. It was a beautiful historic place and I’m happy that I made the drive. What a lovely time. My particularly liked the musicians in the bar. The manager showed us our parking spot directly by walking in front of our car was very sweet. It was a nice wonderful place.”

“Refreshing to stay in a unique property like this as a nice break from sterile, chain hotels. We had a very spacious room with a cozy, traditional feel and a lovely view. Nice touches like a towel warmer, tea setting etc. ”

“Being able to return from a day on the windswept rainy coast to a warm fire and a glass of wine and being able to sit in the early morning in the cactus filled sun lounge looking out at the water made this a magical and welcoming place to stay.”

“Portfinn Lodge is perfect for those, on a budget, who wish to get the head down after a busy day. It's basic and perhaps a tad tired. That said, the bedroom, while basic and quite small was very clean, as was the en suite; tired but clean. Beautiful setting.”
