“This hotel deserves zero stars if that were an option. It was a terrible experience, and here’s why: 1. Outdated Facilities: The roof appears to have been neglected for years, and the overall condition of the facilities is poor. 2. Worn-out Bedding: The bed linens were old and tattered, making for an uncomfortable sleep. 3. Unpleasant Odor: The room smelled damp and musty, reminiscent of an old, poorly ventilated house. 4. “What a wonderful resort. The beds were comfortable the air conditioning appreciated and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Also, when you stay at an all inclusive resort it can tend to have mediocre food. That was not the case with this property. Our lunches and dinners were fantastic and it just added to our trip being delicious and relaxing!”

“We had an absolutely amazing time in Tamarindo staying at the Capitan Suizo Boutique hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating, and the food was excellent. After exploring the whole town, we concluded that this hotel is likely the nicest place to stay in all of Tamarindo. One of the staff members even went so far as to retrieve a recipe of a dish we were particularly fond of, so we could attempt to recreate it at home. 5/5 stars all……

“Such a lovely place. Low season and we had it almost all to ourselves. All the staff so friendly and attentive - Andrea, Sergio, Daniela - we felt like we were family - they greeted us by name, knew what wanted to drink with breakfast (which is included!), were ready to take care of whatever we needed. Food good - although a little pricey, but that is what you expect at a nice resort. There are a couple of places you can walk to (did for one lunch), but mainly just ate at their nice outdoor……

“Unique “treehouse” experience. Amazing forest/mountains view. It was quite of a delight to stay in such of eco-friendly environment. Great food at the Hotel Taru restaurant. Excellent customer service. Kudos to the entire staff but specially to Carlos Guzman for going above and beyond. Thank you. Pura Vida!”

“Great place, beautiful property in an awesome location. You can do easy hikes through the adjacent reserve, if you walk down the beach you’re in town within 20-30 minutes. Food and service were great and staff was on point throughout the stay. ”
