“Over the years we have stayed in almost every fine hotel in Newport. We have made the Castle Hill Inn our regular habit. This hotel is in a beautiful historic mansion on the ocean inlet and a is short walk to the oceanfront state park. The staff is helpful and eager to please, reminiscent of other top tier hotels. The massive oceanside lawn has many Adirondack style chairs to enjourage outdoor rest or socializing. There are indoor and outdoor bars that accomidate every taste even non-alcoholic……

“The property consists of two rental units but this fact is not obvious from the pictures on the website. We did not get the rooftop deck with a view of the harbor. That belongs to the other unit. The sewer pipes are enclosed in the paper-thin walls of the first floor bedroom of our unit so every time someone flushes the toilet, uses the sink, takes a shower, you can hear water flowing through the pipes followed by loud clanging sound. Along with the loud music, people talking, chairs scraping……

“This was a good location and the house had a good amount of space. We enjoyed an easy 10-min walk to the beach in the mornings to get smoothies, there were other refreshments as well. The location is a bit rural but there were restaurants and convenience stores within a 10-min drive to get provisions and memorable meals. The house has window units which concerned me at first because we were in the summer heatwave, however the house stayed cool and comfortable. Noel was a reliable host and very……
