“i was very upset and frustrated because hotels.com did not update the room count—even though The Doubletree sent them a notice after the renovations—so i booked a suite that wasn’t available and got downgraded. I went to the hotel manager first who did their best to make up for this by giving us free breakfast passes, because we made the reservation through a 3rd party. Then i spoke to a Hotels.com agent to see if we could get a partial refund but they said “since it was already resolved” they……

“This motel was categorized as 4 stars it is at best 2,5 stars. It is the typical tiny cape cod motel room. The beds are not great. It was clean and did not smell of mold like most cap motels but the off season charge of $175 per night for a $90 room is ridiculous. ”

“Very lovely inn and innkeepers, Debra and Rene were very welcoming. Breakfast everyday on the patio was a delight. Clean room, downstairs sitting area very comfortable and inviting. ”

“Hosts are lovely and helpful while not intrusive. Room is nicely appointed with comfortable king bed with small but adequate bath and shower. Old house is very quaint. Use of refrigerator helpful. No food service but coffee, tea, fruit and homemade cookies make it homey. Lovely early Spring get away in convenient location to shops, restaurants, short drive to Nauset Beach.! ”
