“The area is very quiet. It was great for a home base for us to visit places and then come back to the cabin and relax!”

“Three of us stayed with our two dogs at the property and absolutely loved it! The host had great communication and left us a blueberry cake. This is incredibly roomy. We didn’t have any kids with us but if you’re traveling with teens or young ones this is a great spot. There is a basement w. a couch and tv, and outside has plentiful hangout spaces and a swing set. The views from the deck are awesome! We were fortunate to go to Acadia off season and getting to Bar Harbor or the side the park over……

“We stayed here for a long weekend in October with our 3 kids (9, 7 and 4) and my parents. Location was great, close to Bar Harbor but far enough to feel in the woods. Fireplace wasn’t working but owner responded quickly with extra space heaters for us. ”

“The house was wonderful. Very a huge living room with soaring ceilings and a great view of the ocean. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and baking with spices and plenty of mixing bowls, lobster pot, cookie sheets. Beds and couches were very comfortable and seem relatively new. ”

“If not for the weather being a bit too chilly for me all went well. I gave 1 star for the property manager because i texted her once and never got a response. I texted the owner and got a prompt reply. If its chilly expect to burn lots of wood as we did. The 2 space heaters work well with the wood stove to make it nice and cozy. We brought a fan with us and placed it to the left side of stove to circulate warm air coming off stove. That really worked well. Loved the shower, nice and hot and good……

“The cottage was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, We really enjoyed and made good use of the fire pit. It was all set up and ready to light. Southwest Harbor is my favorite place to stay on the island. It is much less touristy than Bar Harbor but still has some good dining options as well as a nice coffee shop. We had a great stay.”

“We had a great stay at Tammy’s cottage and would happily return. We prefer staying in the Southwest/Bass harbor area when visiting Acadia to escape the crowds while still having great food only 5 minutes away like Archie’s Lobster. Our dog also had a great time and the cottage had all the basic cooking & grilling essentials so we cooked for most meals. Thank you Tammy so much for having us and being a great host. ”

“We really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Loon Song Cottage. The cottage has a screened front porch, which you don't see often in vacation rentals. (So many times I have wished that we could keep the front door open, but can't without a screen.) The cottage is nice and new, and very clean. The bedrooms were cozy, the beds were comfortable, the decor was nice. Sara gave us tips on places to eat and visit, which were helpful. “This was a great place to stay for our little family while visiting the Bar Harbor/ Acadia area. The cabin was comfy and more than enough room for a family of 3. Everything was stocked well, very clean and well thought through with renters in mind. Both Bar Harbor and Acadia were about 10 minutes away and easy to get in and out of. The hike from the cabin was a perfect way to go see the sunset. Would absolutely stay again if we are in the area! ”

“What a great place to relax. The property abuts the shore--maybe a 60-second stroll down a grassy, gentle slope where adirondacks and the dock await. Or just hang out on the patio to watch from there. Warm during the day, cooling off at night, lobster by the beach -- just the perfect summer getaway. “Yes, you read that right. A short private trail enters park property and leads to a connector of the Western Mountain trail. A short drive west of Southwest Harbor, you'll find this side of the park a bit less overwrought than the gridlock of Bar Harbor. Don't worry though, there are enough restaurants and cafes within a fifteen minute drive to cover all your meals. The cabin sits along with another (soon joined by a third) on a wooded private parcel. The general area is unappealing light……

“One of my favorite places to stay in Ellsworth! Nice suites with big open floorplans. They also have super fast fiber internet with private modems in each room which is a game changer for computer and office work. Great coffee selection, and really nice common area. Highly recommended ”
